Clutch Install...Tips?

So I am tired of dealing with the damn dealer about my clutch issues that were reported at 7k miles, and every 3-4k miles there after with nothing but my time wasted.

I am considering a Spec 2 clutch with the factory flywheel inspected and possibly turned.

Do the typical clutch kits come with everything you need? I may do the install one night after work, get the car in the shop and on the lift.

all you need is the clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and alignment tool.. which should all come with the kit

the 05 uses a hyd t bearing and it can be a pain in the but if you get trapped air it will make you pull your hair out as they realy dont bleed air out very well.

we bled my clutch 10 times on the first one for my car after using the normal procedure for a clutch job and and it just wouldnt get the air out no matter how much you bled it it still wouldnt work then i got pissed pulled the trany and filled the t bearing and bench bled it and then very carefully redid the install and boom problem fixed.

we do all the 05 up clutches that way now and havent had a single one that had air since then.

what were your clutch issues ? low pedal .. non full release ?

if so thats typical of air trapped in the t bearing

Thanks for the input Dean. It's not fully releasing and the chirping noise (typical of a worn out throwout bearing on T5's) when in neutral began to piss me off. Recently the pedal has gotten harder and harder to press in. My excuse: If it's a stock clutch, I shouldn't have the pedal pressure of a high performance one especially when the mileage on the car is almost all hwy.

It's giving me a reason to upgrade but I hate the fact that it feels like a damn cable operated T5 with a Spec3 in it. Other cars with higher miles feel like cake. This is a daily car with nothing big planned and minimal mods.

If I wanted a heavy pedal, I woulda kept my 99GT
