this is common knowledge in this town. if you ever come here, you'll notice you see a bike cop about every 5-10 minutes on the road, and he usually already have someone pulled over.

werd. they have more bike cops than patrol car cops here. and they love to hide and set up traps.

that's why i just chill when i'm driving here.... always like 5mph under the speed limit. it's actually rather relaxing. but then when i go back to visit SA it's stressful with all the road rage and stuff. everyone is in too big of a hurry.

ironically, my friend lauren just got a ticket from a motorcycle cop. as in, last night. what a coinkidink.

actually, her and three other cars were pulled over because of running a red light that she didn't run. she's fighting it because, well, it really was green the whole time and the cop came from another direction and must have misread the white lights on the poles that show what lights are on green or red.

i've seen the white lights austin is talking about. they are kinda placed up where the vertical pole meets the horizontal pole.

i always wondered what those were for. damn sneaky cops

yes they are there so that cops and emergency vehicles can tell every light in the intersection's color without actually being in front of the main traffic light. they have to do a course on reading them. that's why sometimes a cop will run a red light but he knows where to look for oncoming vehicles so he can avoid them.
