comparing computers question
i have a ~2004 gateway pentium 4 1.3ghz computer and a friend of mine gave me a ~2006 dell dimension 2400 intel celeron 2.4ghz computer.
does the fact one is newer and a 1ghz faster than the other mean it's that much better? i thought celeron processors were older and the pentium 4's were better. i just would like your thoughts on them. my original plan is to reformat the dell and use it and get rid of my old computer. either way i will master/slave the two HDD's together and add my nice dvd-r and accessories to it. thanks. austin |

hmm
i would get some new ram for the dell(you can get 1 gig for like 30 bucks) and transfer that other hard drive over and call it a day. i bet you can upgrade the dell to 2g if you wanted tho |

The Dell is the better rig. And parts are readily available and cheap!
Max out it's RAM and it should be good to go!
