Could NOT fill up?
I went to get some gas today, and I could not put any gas in the tank, it kept shuting off, like the car was FULL of gas? Has anyone else had this happen to them? Don't know what to do, I tryed two different pumps and nothing!?! Need some HELP with this, cause I will need some gas really soon, It took me about 10-15 min. to just get $5 dollars.. So I got pissed off and left..

Did you reposition the gas nozzle? My bucket trucket does that sometimes. Instead of having the handle point downwards, I gotta point it to 3 o'clock position and hold it. Sometimes I have to do that and not pull the trigger full blast.

hahaha lmao same thing happened to me when i got my car, i went to like 3 different places and just thought my fuel gauge was off pretty bad till i ran out of gas. honestly dont know what to tell you... i ended up having to pull the nozzle out untill its just barely in, the reason it shuts off is because there is too much pressure or something around that, (feel free to correct me yall) its annoying as crap i know, but what i had to do was jus put the gas in slowly
and i was laughing earlier not to be an ass, but cuz the same crap happened to me ![]() |

somone once put shit in the bu like mud or something. had to pull the feeder tube and drain it out and poke out the mud with a stick.

S197? If so, common problem. I think there might be a TSB out on it. It happens to me sometimes (which is why I try to fill up at the same gas station/same pump). When it happens to me I let off the nozzle and pull it out a little, so it's pumping the gas in slower, that sometimes helps, then when it gets going for a while, I'll pull up the trigger and let it go faster and push the nozzle all the way in. You can also try turning it to the right or left, but that doesn't seem as effective as the method I use. Hope it helps!

I turn the handle upside down, resting against the fuel door. This seems to work for me. There is a TSB, but I have heard about other problems after the repair, so i chose not to do it.

yeah s197 problem. i use to have that problem but not so much anymore. as long as i just put it in a let it go.
