Custom Sub Enclosures

Im gonna get my chick some Subs for her RX8, and wanted to see if anyone here made the custom fiber glass enclosures for subs. The type that will fit flush in the trunk.

I thought some one on the boards made them. I dont want to have to pay a shit load for them.

custom sound on bandera is pretty cheap. they made custom boxes for my v6, sorta like codys, for 75 each. and that included install

not bad for a company, but im trying to keep my costs as low as possible... $150 for just the boxes is a lot of money.

go to sunset imports on walzem. they stock about 60 different boxes made to fit certain cars. if they dont have one for an rx8, they can order it. and depending on what sub set up your going with, id say its anywhere from $40-$90.

Called, and they dont have any for RX8's. The guy didnt even know what an RX8 was, had to tell him... LOL. That hasnt happened to me since I would go looking for stuff to put in my Riviera

you were talking to the owner not the install tech you should go by there. it is only a few min. from my house. If you want to check it out tommorow, go to lunch with me and Big J and the place is right next door.

i can make some.
but a true custom fit will run at least $60 in supplies alone. Most of these "custom" places make them in house. most enclosures are bought from 3rd party customers. Few places will make a true custom box.

I'm making one right now for my little civic.
I just need to bondo, sand, and then paint and I will be done.
