cutting cats

I'm thinking of getting 2 of my cats cut off because I want my exhaust to be louder at idle and when I punch it. Is this a good idea or is this just going to screw up my car really badly. Thanks

If you don't have to worry about emissions testing I say more power to you. Be forewarned though this is gona make the car sufficiently louder. :larry03gt

One thing is it may set off your check engine light. Which may cause your performance to suffer. If so you may be able to correct this if you install MIL eliminators.

MIl eliminators do not always work, and the correct method is deleting the rear O2's, software-wise, with a custom chip. Be ready to see a loss of low rpm torque, substantial enough to feel.
