    Dealer sticker removal

When I bought my GT I asked to have the dealer sticker removed since I didn't want to be a portable advertiser, I've heard of the hot water and blow dryer trick. But most of all I am not using the heat gun not taking a chance of jacking up my paint. So my question is does anyone have any other solutions than what I've googled or advice on the sticker removal?

    Thanks

I used a blow dryer to remove mine, and a wet cloth to wipe out the remaining residue.

wd 40 or realy any oil based penitrating fluid is the best.

personaly, i use pb blaster for this sort of thing, spray on, wait a few, then pop them off (if they havnt fallen off on thier own) ad use a rag, or if you feal comfortable enough, you can use a razor blade, if its realy strong adhesive.

the last thing i did like this, was remove my gt badges from the fobra...

If you asked them to remove it and they didnt Id go back to the make ready department and request it to be removed..
I have never picked up a new vehicle with a lic plate ring or dealer sticker on it. Always have them removed or not installed.....

Thanks I'll be taking care of it this weekend, yea I asked about having them remove it and said I could drop the car off and pick it up later. It's cool I would rather do it than have them trying to pencil me in for a certain time.

Is that a vinyl decal or one of the metal (plastic chromed) badges? If it's the vinyl, like Carmax has, I peeled mine off. The badge type emblems can be removed with some dental floss (yes, use the waxed floss to prevent any paint damage but it shouldn't be a problem) and then use some Bug Off or some other gunk remover to get the gluey mess left behind off your car.

Vinyl which I'm going to remove this weekend. I also made a plastic scraper so that will help out a little.

I was able to peel my vinyl dealer decal off with just my fingernails...no need to over complicate things with tools

Finally, I'm no longer a driving billboard for the dealership. But what's funny is when I went to get my plates they said "Hey your sticker is gone do you want us to apply another for you" Good thing they didn't take their own judgement and didn't touch it.
