???decals off???

i got these white stripe decals on the lower part of the body.
so im kinda debating if they should come off/or stay on.
and if they come off, will they leave track marks (noticable) that they were once their, keep in mind the suns been penatrating on my stang for six yrs now.

dont have any great photoshop programs, so can't really compare and contrast w/ or w/ out white stipes.

I wouldn't do it. You will wish you hadn't once you see what it leaves behind for ya to look at every single day. Especially on a black car

It's not just about the goo, The car isn't real new, and removing the stickers will leave a permanent faded paint sticker.

it just depends how faded the paint is that will determin if it will leave a mark showing where it was, and you might be able to buff it out too.

i took those off my sixer when i had it...you can use this orange cleaner that they make..its safe for paint that will get rid of the glue...

the paint all i really did was to make sure i used a lot of paint cleaner, scratch remover, etc around all of that before taking it off. basically i 'renewed' the entire paint on the car so i didnt notice anything when i did it.
i dont know how much you take care of your car though compared to me...

I think your car would look alot better with the stripes off, however I understand the concern with possible faded paint. I know you can get the stripes off pretty easily by using a hair dryer, or by leaving it out in the hot sun for a couple of hours then peeling it off. I wonder if clay barring it might reduce some of the fading? Then polishing the heck out of it to remove any faded paint around it (once removed). I guess it couldn't pass for "ghost stripes" eh?

clay bar wont help with fading, it just removes residue...worst case scenario you will only see the difference in tones under certain types of light...not all the time

Take 'em off and buff it. That part of the car won't be nearly as faded as you think, as it gets very little direct sunlight.

bandit did this a few years ago to his stang. look around and find a picture (not the new wrecked pics) of his car now. i saw the car with and without the stripes... it looks EXPONENTIALLY better without the stripes man. DEFINITELY take em off.

werd. I too once contemplated taking the stripes off my black stang, but i have not regreted the decision.

when i took mine off, i noticed a slight difference in the paint, but it was easily fixed with a fresh coat of wax/polish.

I vote take them off.
