Dirt bike question

I'm lookin at getting just alittle 125 or 150 to tool around in and have a question. I'm currently lookin at a YZ125, but the seat height is 39". When you actually sit on a dirt bike does it squat pretty good, like maybe around 6" from the original seat height. I weight around 240 and am not lookin to go real fast, or do any motocrossing.

That's what they all say. I personally ride a '03 KTM 450 EXC. I started off riding a Suzuki RM 250. We weigh about the same. Unless you plan to motocross then you WILL get bored with a 125 real quick like. The seat height will squat probably that much with your weight on there. I take it you are short?

My first bike was a 2 stroke 250 motocross bike. I am more partial to the 4 stroke bikes now.Reliability is the main reason.

I should be able to get that without a problem, even if I get the YZ125.

Skip the r6 and buy my 1k. It has the mode switch and you can put it in c mode for you to get use to.

I have rode several dirtbikes growing up in the trails and on the track. My favorite was the 125. The 250 was too heavy and was kinda useless power.

As far as getting up and going, my nephews kx65 will do wheelies like nothing in first, second and third when the powerband comes on. It's crazy for a bike that size.

If interested in a 4 stroke, I think my dad might be selling his rm450z. It has some nice torque to it as well. Good multi use bike. Looks like new still.

125's are for thirteen year olds.... get a big wheel if you're gonna go out like that! Seriously I had a few 125's in jr. high and I'm like 5'8. you Will get tired of a 125 quick-like.... And stay away from 4-strokes. The power band is where it's at
