    disc brake upgrade

I am looking to convert my 4 wheel drums to disc on the 66. Is there a way or is it possible to put on disc brakes from 79-94 or 96-04 brakes? I would perfer to do a dual piston is possible but would be fine single. Reason asking is I have some extra front discs and calipers for my 98 that I could probley use.

Not sure what all you'd have to swap out to use modern pieces.... I think the "usual" way to get discs on a non-disc Classic is to do the ol' (oh, brain fart) Galaxy (is that it?) trade.

I had the name in my head when I started typing .... dammit.

    Granada?

Oh, I hate this. I'll have Don post up on here when he gets home - he'll know the name instantly.

Damn, grandma was forgetful but she was 95.

    Its a granada swap(circa 75 or so).Look online
its fairly straight forward. You can by the kit
    from several vendors.

    Yes, I know ... I know ... LOL!

Yes, it was Granada ... I Googled it a while ago because it was eatin' at me why I couldn't remember ... (Been a busy summer.)

There are some reputable kits you can purchase from various mod vendors, or you can go junk yard diving and pick out what you want for pennies on the dollar.

Look no further than ABS Powerbrake. Thats where I got mine and its a complete difference, night and day, compared to the manual drums i had! Go to Rons Bell's forum and look at the pics he put up. Plus its adjustable and comes with a pedal adaptor so u can use the same pedal. By complete i mean complete, hoses, hardware, everything for a direct swap. You can even get it in a 2" drop if you want. and replacement parts can be found at any parts store.

and it costs less than any other kit ive seen.

so looking on the google and ebay. I can get parts for about the same. but I need to decide if I want to use the mustang II spindles and lower the front 2" or go granada. with this conversion I want to convert to 5 lug as well so thats why I am looking at the spindles as well. both vehicles parts can be found for the same price.

also for four wheel disks I am finding they are just pulling a rear out of a Versalles. those seem to be more dificult to find. I also have heard them take the rear brakes off a Lincoln Mark VII but thats a 8.8 rear and not sure how they pull that off.
