Really think about it now. It is not that much of a difference between the two.

On a 14 gallon tank a .30 difference is 4.20. More like 45 for super or 40 for regular.

I'm waiting to hear from SSFCU about refinancing it. Later today or tomorrow I'm calling some other insurance carriers and getting quotes then taking them to the place I'm at now to see if they want to reduce their rates or loose my business. Then I'm gonna buy a bicycle. I may look funny riding up to work, but I won't look funny passing up the gas station every day.

Y'all may laugh at this but:

F150 (paid off, SSFCU, picked up in 1998)
Miata (paid cash a couple years ago)
Insurance, $45 and $55 for them, respectively (yes, a Miata is MORE to insure)
Gasoline: Pass the KY please .... I had to gas up both last weekend, and it was about $150 to fill them both up -- but they'll last a couple weeks before I have to do it again.

Call my insurance agent: Roger Haynes, 656-4082, tell him Traci sent you.
Call SSFCU and RBFCU to see about that 12% butt-rape you are receiving.

Don't sell your Mach, honey.

Well if you put in an auto app with them you can try other banks/credit unions for the next 30 days with it only hitting your credit once. every inquiry for 30 days that is in the same category only counts as one inquiry

Oh, and in answer to your question of "Does anyone else look at their money this close," my answer is F*CK YEAH! I watch every nickel and dime!! I am one extreme tight-wad.

It is a good thing. If you dont' know where your money is going, then you'll have a hard time with your finances ...

The jalepeno is paid for. Costs me 22 a month liability and about $100 bucks a month on gas. Get yourself a beater like what I have and save the Mach for Biff's and the track. The added bonus will be that you keep the miles off of the stang........

Hopefully SSFCU will come through for you. I've had my bank accounts, my car loan, and my one and only credit card with them and they've always been more than fair.

Also, food for thought. On my SSFCU credit card I found out that they DO NOT jack your interest rate if you're late on a payment. You do get charged late fees & stuff but your rate doesn't go to 30% & shit like that. I'm about 4 months behind on payments on mine but my interest rate has dropped from 12% to 8.5% in the same four months. Now that I have the car paid off, AND a second job, I hope to have the card knocked out in a few months. Then some of you might hear me on the radio screaming "I'm debt freeeeeeeeeeee" LOL

I pay $82/month for liability insurance, and anywhere from $120-185(if I go anywhere extra) on gas/month. but thats when I was driving her daily, now, I work with my dad and we use his tacoma so I spend about $80/month on gas for his truck.
I watch my money, but in the end, you realize that your going to spend it no matter what, its just controlling your spending and what wants you buy.

$370 for my car payment.
$145 for my insurance.
I fill up twice a week which is about $40 each time so about $320 a month for gas, which will hopefully be going down some when I move in June.

Puts me at $835. Not bad for me considering my income and other bills. Im not worried

no problem...yeah equifax, transunion, and experian understands that you are shopping around for a better rate. They changed that policy a couple years ago.

Any time i have a customer that is having credit problems or wants to raise their credit score i always direct them to Save Money with a Good FICO Credit Score: Credit Education at myFICO

There is ALOT of good info.... even if you dont have bad credit it can help turn good credit into GREAT credit. With the info on that site i was able to go from a 650 to a 720 in about a year time frame HOPE this helps someone!!!

Let me tell you about suck ass ssfcu. a colection company, dont know who or why, generated checks with some guys name but by accident our acct#, they cashed them all. when i complained ssfcu said "just pay the fee and we can stop them from clearing. WTF!? My smart ass question was, "so if I know an acct # i can cash checks and it dosent matter the name on the acct?" The answer was a stunning "YES". took about 2 seconds to get the rest of my money out of that place and into rbfcu.

An attorney had contacted me with a demand to pay for my bad checks. I had a hard time getting the attorney to "TELL ME WHOS NAME IS ON THE CHECKS?" WHEN THEY GOT AROUND TO LOOKING AT THEIR MISTAKE THEY CALLED ME A DEADBEAT AND HUNG UP, havent heard back since.
