Does anyone else look at their money this close?

So I was looking over some bank statements last night, and it dawned on me...

I spend way too much fukin money to drive my car.

Between monthly car payment + insurance for Mach + gas each month (the only driving I do outside of work is to Biff's Fridays and occasionally to a movie on Saturday nights) totals out to $1,036.00....

I can't/won't even take my dog to the park anymore because of gas prices... $55 per tank! and I heard it went up another $.20 since my last tank!!!

That's just way too much money. I imagine what I could be doing with an extra $500 a month, cause I know I have to have a car payment of some kind... Shit I could go sky diving, one hell of a vacation, Have a crazy fast fox in a just a few short months.... It's starting to bother me a lot. I'm thinking about selling it...

I got royally ass raped when I bought this car. I was young, didn't know what I was doing, and never bought a car on my own before this... The payments are retarded because of a super high finance rate... something like 12%.... I don't know how people seem to be getting cheaper insurance. I turned 25 last month and I thought it was supposed to be going down, by a lot, but mine went up $15 per month! I haven't had a ticket in over 6 years or any accidents.

I don't pay attention to other than when I fill up. My mach get's filled maybe once a month now....if that. It's payed off and im dropping my insurance since I don't even put 200 miles a month on it and you can guess where those miles go.

My bike is the one that bothers me the most since I don't drive it and still pay on it and the insurance. If I drove it more I think I would like it, but it's too difficult to plan around it.

I spend ~600 a month on gas.

I don't pay attention to the price though because what does .10 = on a tank. For the mach about an extra 1.40.

On my truck about and extra 2.60.

Who's your agent? Call Bill Hicks @ state farms and get a quote. I got some great rates through them. 658-4642

Have you tried refinancing the car now to get a lower interest rate?

I can't get it refinanced. My credit went south because of a surgery a few years ago... I make enough to pay for a second auto if I want it (actually got aproved for a brand new car from a Ford dealer) but I can't get a bank to refinance a car that I've been on time for all 36 payments I've made on it.... Kinda fucked up if you ask me.

I'll call your guy at State Farm and see if they can beat the shit I've got now.

Im 23 and paying like 90 a month for full coverage w/ a 1k deductable for just the mustang.

Have you tried capitol one for an auto loan. I know I had trouble refinancing my wifes car a few years back with my bank and another bank, but they refinanced it at a lower rate than what I had and cleared out my sister's name from the title as well.

Good luck man. That high interest rate stuff sucks.

Thats kind of the main reason that we're not going to get no new cars for a while....I'm going to pay my car off at the end of this year.We still have 2 years to go.After that no more new ones, atleast for a couple of years. That extra $400 payment can go to vacations,or saving, even with gas prices the way that they are. I try to maintain the cars the best that i can,so we should not have any major problem, And it sucks the way gas prices are,but there is nothing that anybody can do about it,until these fuckheads in washington get thier heads out of thier asses.....

Wow really...thats the first i have heard of something like that at SSFCU. I have everything with them except my mortgage, since i get an employee rate at my bank. I have both my cars and my bike with them. They financed my 07 at 4% which was a whole 1% less than any other bank. Everyone i know that has applied with them hasnt had any problems. thats why i always refer people there.

on a side note John I got dibs on your mach wheels if you sell
