Dominator Mustangs

Looking for Current or Past Owners of Special Edition Mustangs sold from Lee's Summit Ford in Lee’s Summit Missouri from 1982 through 1989 called the Dominator GT.

We are working on a Registry of the cars and would like to collect as much information as possible on them.

I have three specific items of interest:

Anyone knowing of a copy of Summit Ford's Dominator Mustang Television Commercial


The location of a supposed 82 Dominator GT autographed by Jackie Stewart

The location of my old car, and 1985 Black T-Top Dominator GT with Silver Pin Striping gone wild!

This is the first that i have heard of them aswell...... What was so special about them?? Factory mods wise i mean????

Many were just a sticker package with a few bolt-ons, like exhaust, gears, ignition, and functional ram air scoop. But there were a few specially produced versions with highly modified racing engines. Not a whole lot of documentation left as the dealership closed a few years back. They also got in trouble for removing smog equipment. So they didn't document much of what they did. Most of this is based upon what myself and others have been able to track down from owners across the midwest.

i junked one last week, the wrecking yard might still have it, it had no motor or transmission or interior but it looked like the one on the pic except it was red with black , don't really remember

Located a couple more Dominators over the past few weeks by bumping my threads around the midwest! So if you saw one of these over the Summer or know somebody who has one let me know! We had a reunion for the Dominators in August. Here is a Picture from the Reunion. Two of the cars were from a collector who lives in Austin. So you might just spot one around there!

my buddie has one exactly like the white one on telestars but i think the domintor sticker was taken off. did just the dominator have the gt350 emblem?

No the 1984.5 GT350 was actually a commemorative edition sold in limited number by FORD. It only came in the White with dark red configuration and had the GT350 sticker below the rocker.

The Dominator package was an option added only by one dealership located in Lee's Summit, Missouri.

Can you send me pictures of the car. Most especially the engine compartment? Then I can tell you if it possibly was a Dominator.
