He didn't discover anything . Thats been going around on the web for while and I actually know a few people using them . According to TxDot , any type of hydrogen powered device is illegal for on road vehicles but that shit is not going to stop me from using it .

its a hydrogen ful cell what it does is produce a small amount of hydrogen and when sucked intot he engine it will cause the 02 to lean the car out you actualy can gain 2-5 mpg depending on your vehicle

it will never PERIOD NEVER double your millage .. it allows your car to run much leaner due to the high octane of the hydrogen..

your vehicles 02 will read the car as rich from the hydrogen and will lean it out a good bit and that is where the gain comes from .. at part throttle cruise where the 02 is in closed loop and the car runs much leaner due to the hydrogen gas.

Actually Dean , the people I know running them have said they are getting right at double the mpgs on their trucks . One guy went from 370 a tank to just over 700 on a 4.2v6 F150 and the other guy had a 6.0 PSD and said he gained just about the same percentage wise .

I am going to build one for my Cavalier . Its already getting about 31-33 right now and they said I should expect 50 mpg minimum from a small fuel cell .

1 its not street legal against epa regulations
2 it makes the car run much leaner so i wouldn;'t want it on a performance car but at part throttle igts great.

its fine to run the car that lean at part throttle as the hydrogen provides the extra fuel and the octane needed for it to be safe at thoe low loads

How are they going to check if your car is legal. how many people drive here with out cataletic converters/ EGR's? ect.... so many people drive with out the emissions crap around here that no one would even know.

I said it was illegal to use hydrogen on the road but I never said they were enforcing it . I'm sure if enough people start to do it , the government will find a way to suppress until they can figure out a way to make money off of it like they do with bio diesel .

From what I understand , its very good for engines . Being illegal is a grey area and I doubt you have anything to worry about for a while .

I think that if you have a performance car or high compression, you would not want it on you car, much less a lead foot, but for every day normal 4 banger, V6 or V8 it would be fine to use, just keeping in mind, stomping the gas pedal will always drop your fuel mileage. Hell, driving normally gets you better gas mileage.

There are several people doing it . I think you will see activity ramping up a lot more with the increase of fuel prices . It will however get to the level where government will try to impose some kind of tax on it for their own good . They are doing the same thing with biodiesel . Legally , you are only allowed to produce and use for private consumption 400 gallons a year . After that they want their taxes on it just like if you were to buy it from a station .

From what I understand , EFI engines are better suited for a hydrogen cell since they can make adjustments on the fly . With a carbed engine , you will probably need to jet it down some .

Since you are buying the kit,do you mind posting your mpg results before and after? I think the more of us willing to share our gains the more people will be willing to jump on this bandwagon. Just think with a good portion of Americans doing this THEN the idiots in Washington and oil companies may take notice and do something about the problem..........

But since you have a diesel now, you can alway run the bio diesel and come out ahead.

Regular here is not at 3.75 a gallon, I have too run 93 octane due to my compression, which is about 4.09 a gallon here.

My general statement was really for the 87 octane users and what the news said.
