Drag Car #3

Here is a pic of the Newest project to hit the shop, its a wrecked 98 V6 . It will transform into a full gutted, 12 pnt cage, Drag car, we got a replacement clip already, I have bought a 8.8,full weld in sub frames, and alrady have the 4;56's and the engine and trans are already built..C-4 with Cross Boss 302 . It is a 68 302 block with solid cam, and 351 Clevland heads. we did the machine work to the heads in house and made the intake spacers as well, I will get pictures of the engine when I go back home, the engine is on a test stand and has already started up..sounds pretty crazy..oh and it take special pistons for that combo. Im looking for a set of drag springs for the rear, and SSM uppers and lowers.

Combo

It has a Solid 575 lift cam, Custom Pistons that are made for Clevland heads, CR should be arount 10-1 because we dident use the closed chamberd heads, the heads are un ported and have crane roller rockers, and a PP Hurricane INtake..the build kinda focused on the pistons becase a friend had bought them a long time back but did not have the money to build the motor.

I have not heard of anyone building one of these in a long time, years ago I planned on building one. It will be intresting to see what it will do. The few of these I have seen built years ago were just mild street car engines.
