Dual Mufflers
I'm working on restoring a 68 mustang and the one muffler on it is over 30 years old. I want to put in a dual exhaust when I replace the one muffler. Does anybody know of a good muffler that is not too expensive? (Preferably that won't sound like a full race sport bike, but you can actually hear)
Thanks,

you can put a 3 chamber muffler, will sound good but wont be too loud. Most companies make them, flowmaster, walker, etc. If you want to upgrade to true dual exhaust, there are kits available from Mustang parts houses that should fit.

On my 70 I have some Thrush Turbos...they're cheap, sound great at a idle, very throaty, but when crusing they are as quiet as a regular muffler. It's great, I used to have to yell and my passenger while doing 70, now we can almost talk normally! Of course before the Thrush turbos, I had to two old glassbacks that were so burnt out it was like running straight pipe!
