Dump

Hey, I have a 2002 v6 stang - yeah I know - my question is would I pass inspection?

Heres the scoop:

I have stock cats that run through the stock y pipe that runs to a flowmaster 40 muffler that runs to a stainless steel pipe that is about 8 in. long that is at a 45 degree angle. On a cold day, you can still see that the exhaust leaves through the back of the car. Although, technically not dumped, i guess - i have no "tail pipe" - took it off completely. I did this because it sounds sooo much better (deeper) and it actually, Im not kidding, rumbles now.

I love in College Station where there is no emisions testing, but would they see that and not give me a sticker? My parents live in DFW.

Thanks

on the visual inspection i've only noticed them check for cats and a muffler. i doubt you'll have any problems.

The exhaust has to exit past the passenger compartment to be technically legal.:jeff:

Smile

yeah, the exhaust technically leaves the passanger compartment thanks to inertia , but it exits the tip before the axle...I'll just have to get my inspections done here (BCS) for a little bit.

Thanks guys
