agentjones, I hear that ALL dynos will show inconsistencies of a few hp on different days depending on weather and the vehicle, so taking it to another dyno whether it be a dynojet or mustang may not necessarily prove anything to anyone. You may make a different # on the same dyno 1 week from now. I think you made very good #s for the car. I'm not familiar with the 3v but that seems like a lot for the mods. If you do want to get a second opinion, you may want to take it to Lethal Performance because I know that their dyno shows lower #s than most of the same type (dynojet). Keep in mind that the weather will play a small role. If you are happy with your #s that's all that matters. I will say that if you do more mods to your car, and then take it to a different dyno and see the same or not much improvement, don't blame the mods, dyno, or tuner. Take it back to Murrilo and dyno it there. Take it to Lethal soon and get another baseline dyno. It's always good to know your Mustang and Dynojet #s anyway.

You all are argueing over the fact that you are thinking that he started with 260hp stock and was able to gain 35 hp with the parts that he changed. But who is to say that his stock motor was only 260hp? Small differences in cam timing and production variables could have his engine making around 275hp stock, so he only gained 20 hp with his parts. Right? But still it was making 295hp on the dyno, which is great.

I do when as people say "accurate and true dyno's"
I know they dyno at 150-160hp on other dynos that don't put a load on the car. so yeah.

cam timing makes a difference, especially when they are not matched

So if Ryan only has 122 hp and you think he has more, then Jones must have more too, but everyone says he must have less?

so if I had a hot cam with stock heads and intake, and the H/I would be holding back the cam and could it actually make it produce less power than a stock cam would?

not necessarily, just because they set his car heavier than it should have been. Making it less accurate on Ryans.

Jones was set around the right weight with driver and everything took into consideration so i believe his numbers to be fairly accurate.

Would i like to see these two hit another dyno? Hell yeah!!

Mustang dyno's usually read around 10% lower than the older DynoJets in that they load the dyno according to the vehicle's weight instead of a fixed value - the newer DynoJets can do the same. I really don't look too hard at dyno numbers as a dyno operator that wants the numbers to read high to impress a customer and keep his business 'can' adjust the settings of the dyno to reflect higher numbers than actual. The 'proof of the pudding', so to speak, is in the actual track speed vs the weight of the vehicle (averaged over over multiple runs of course).

The numbers seem decent - that's good enough..................

damn didnt even think about that...3v's come with 300 in the motor and 275ish to the wheels so he gained roughly 20rwhp with the intake and exhaust, which is about right...

each of my friends' cars that have dynoed on murrillos new dyno have gotten extremely high results. FYI

I am in no way trying to burst your bubble. But they have gotten significantly lower numbers on other dynojets.

every dyno is different on any given day. Thats why it only matters what you do at the track.

Get a tune from mike so he can take out your power robbing stock tune. STAT

with the ORX and intake, i can see your tune leaning out enough to give you a legit 290s though.

mufflers are merely for sound on a stock 05. I have seen flowmasters lose a hp. You have a good muffler on there though.

sounds about right to me

65s are slooow, and light. IF it had 180-200 at the wheels, and weighed as little as it does ~2800, it would trap closer to 100 mph, which it does not.

Its probably a 16 second car, which it should be. swap an ls1 in it It will be very fast. 11s-12s with a stock longblock ls1

on a budget? Swap a gt40P longblock out of an explorer. Than it will run 13s easily
