Some cars are Factory Freaks ...
For Instance .. I have an 04' GT ... My numbers are 272 RWHP/317 TQ ... the HP is about right but MY GOD where in the hell did the TQ come from ??? Most guys with all the bolt ons and rear end like me only put down anywhere from 290-305 TQ ... And I have not even tore into the motor yet either .. I also run 12.92 at SAR ... Not many NA GT's out there that are doing that ... I can only think of one guy, i think he is on here, that drives a silver one that is also in the 12's .. but he has heads/cams, etc ... Nice Numbers ![]()

Nothing. I wasn't trying to be a jerk, I just don't care to talk about her. If you knew everything that happened, you'd understand. You probably talk to Jason more than me... he can sum things up for you..if you want.

I'll + 1 that. When I first dynoed my car with 183k miles and all stock minus some blow masters and a K&N filter, it laid down 207 hp and 289 tq.
An exact (well a 98, which has 15 more hp at the crank) and he has 87k miles, dynoed at 188 hp and ??? tq. Mine was built on a Tuesday I guess. ![]() But now I should peg 320-330 hp and close to 380-400 tq <--- over quoting cuz that's how I roll.

so explain how and why the weight of the vehicle has anything to do with the amount of power at the wheels. I can understand how it would affect speed and acceleration, but the power being made should still be the same.
If I have a 200 rwhp, it will make 200rwhp in a 1000lb car and 200rwhp in a 4000lb car. True the heavier car would be slower, but that is not what a dyno does, the track does that. Maybe I don't know, so can someone explain?

dyno jets have a set drum mass, lets say 1800 pounds on most. On a mustang dyno, the operator generally pulls up a list of models in order to enter your weight. some cars vary alot though. This is ideal for an accurate tune on boosted cars, especially turbo cars which can have a varied tune once they hit the asphault. a dyna pack removes the drive wheels and bolts to the hub of the car. These will generally dyno HIGHER than a dyno jet. does that make since? but i have consistantly seen bolton 4.6s dyno higher than usual on this dyno. about 10-15 hp or so

so they put the weight of my car at 3400lbs when its barely 2700lbs. How much would that affect my numbers?

I cant do those derrivatives in my head. lets say high 130s... how does that work for you?
Joo still need an ls1 swap. Then your car will be LIGHT. I bet you could get low 30s MPG with an ls1 t56 swap because your car is so light.

272 should get any pre 05 mustang with a live axle and tire into the 12s Its kinda of like stock mach 1s. You see some guys run 13.1 at 106 and some run 14.1 at 102. It is not the car, its the driver. My friend ran exactly that when he first got his mach. After a year of experience it ran 13.1 at 106 and 12.8 at 108 with nittos and x pipe alone.

Yeah, C&L Intake/True Flow pipe through K&N, BBK Pullies, Tune, Alumi D/S, .410 Gears, King Cobra Clutch, 31 Spline FRRP Built Rear End, LT Headers, through Magnaflow SS Mufflers, Intake/TB Spacers, and on slicks ...
I prolly could have done better that night ... my rear end was shifting side to side .. its fixed now .. just aint ran it at SAR since then ...

in weather like today's you should go deeper 12s.
what LTs? I would attribute higher torque to the amazing midrange of the accufab plennum and I am guessing you have good LTs
