So, any one here live in Eagle Pass? Ive got some questions. Travel time to San Antonio would be the first. I keep hearing anywhere from 2 to 3 hours. What the best route is also.

I used to date a guy whose family was from E.P. Its about 2.5 hours from here to there, and I am over by Biff's so that includes getting across S.A.
We used to go out all the time. Once you get a way outta town, it's easy cruisin'!

We also would some times do 90W to Uvalde and then drop down to (I guess) La Pryor ... and then continue out.

My sister lives there, it about 2-2.5 hrs depending on your speed. Quickest way is IH35 to 57 .

We stayed with family, so I can't help on hotel accommodations - but between Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras there is bound to be the whole gamut of accommodations! I would check the hotel sites to see what's available... I swear by La Quinta - nationwide, I've never had a bad stay.

I35 to 57 is probably the fastest way unless you want to go through the small towns. If you go down 57 you only have to go through Batesville and LaPryor and they are one stoplight towns.
There are state troopers that roam 57 but I have never seen them very often. There is one who likes to sit in a blind spot on the the top of a hill when you are getting very close to EP so def watch your entering the city and passing the border patrol checkpoint.
Hotel wise theres a LaQuinta, Holiday Inn express, and Hampton Inn The Hampton is fairly new and you can see it on the leftside as you enter city coming up to the first stoplight/T intersection of Main Street and 57. Take a right on Main to get to the city at the T intersection, If you go left there is really nothing out there. The city is really not that large so finding your way around shouldn't be too bad.
