Edinburg Raceway Results

I decide to go South Friday night and below are the results

Fastest Pass
12.60 @ 107.558
1.688 60ft - 8.00 at 1/8

2nd fastest
12.68 @ 107.951
1.680 60ft -8.055 at 1/8

Slowest
12.732 @105.863
1.669 60ft -8.067 at 1/8

I am going 1/8th mile bracket racing....damn those are close times...on foot brake (no linelock) and a manual trans! Set the dial to 8.0, cut good lights and go rounds!

The track is different than SAR, tons of pure stock trucks, Ford Fusions and other bizarre street cars running. Nothing more funny that a guy with street tires - not drag radials but pure street tires going through the water boxes and attempting to burn out in a stock car.

My car was hooked, honestly about the same as SAR with the slicks....but then again I have really limited hp

One other funny thing happened...2 novice guys line up and had reaction times of 3 seconds...3 full seconds...the announcer said "um guys green means go...no really you can go now" funny as hell

Nice times man. what tires are you runnin? I would love a 1.6! I'm runnin nittos and can only manage a 1.7 at best. Only reason I went with them is because I know they last a little longer and I leave the tires on my car all the time.

Oh and have you gotten your car tuned since the spray? If not, do it! It makes a huge difference man.

no tune - just adjusted the base timing to 10 degrees, adjusted fuel pressure to 45 psi --- its a 95 5.0L

Tires are M/T ET Drags - 26 x 10 Slicks...The car cut 1.6's with E/T Streets too - 26 x 11.5

Nah, I'm a anti_slicks kind of guy I've managed to run good with either street tires or drag radials.

I can respect that....but have you run any passes with slicks?

The hook is unreal compared to even Bias ply e/t streets

I race at the Edinburg track...i think you mean alot of chevy trucks that have been modified (appear stock) that run 12's on motor...those damn trucks are pretty impressive...i'm not a chevy guy myself...

how much are you spraying?

kreeper runs pretty good on street/drag radial tires...

i myself am a slick kind of guy...nothing like a hard hit off the line!
