EEC4 HELP!!
ok this is a 1991 Explorer, i was driving down the road the other day, check engine light came on and started to run like shit. got to a stop light and it died. check the fuel pressure(good) tried to start it again and it started and ran at 1600 rpm for about 30 seconds and died and has not started again. the fuel pump stays on when the key is in the on position(does not shut off) and cant pull codes out of the pcm(have a obd1 code reader) code reader wont even give me a code 12(meaning all is ok) help me please i need to get this thing off of the street. i also unpluged the battery for aout 30min and it did nothing.
is there any place i can take the PCM to have it checked?

Are you sure your EEC is messed up? It's telling you some code exists; and are ou sure you're able to read any code? Worked on an older Ford like that one time and had to read codes with a voltmeter.
Leaving out te ecu, you said you have fuel pressure: how about spark? Possibly a BIG vacuum leak, too (hose came off or rotted through, maybe to pcv or somewhere), could cause both engine light and not able to run/idle. You should be able to get it to at least try to start. But yeah, those 'EEC' modules on older Ford trucks are common problem and go out frequently on certain year models. My uncle carries an extra one around and just swaps it out whenever one goes bad, which is like once a year.
