exhaust??

I recently had the bassani catted x-pipe and catback slapped on the car, and had a question. Is it suppose to be pretty quiet? It's a little louder than my stock set up. I didn't think the cats would make that big of a deal when it came to sound. Any help would be grateful.

I hope so. It sounds good when I start her up, but after that it's pretty quiet. All I will need now, are some race pipes from the x to mufflers.

aren't the x-pipes (catted or not) louder higher in the RPM band?

Usually how loud your exhaust is depends on the motor setup. With a stocker with shorties and an O/R H and 2 chambers its not very loud. But with a good H/C/I combo on a stroker motor with the same exhaust it will always be louder.

I guess I just miss the sound of my cobra w/dr, gas x-pipe and flowmasters. I didn't have H,C,I work, only long tubes and a vortech. It was pretty quiet at an idle but pretty loud when you would give it the gas.
