I like Cobras... and I likes me Bullitt... so I put a Cobra bumper on the front. Oh, I also likes me some Mach 1s...so I put the chin spoiler on the Cobra bumper. lol

Next show I go to, I'm gonna tell people it's a 2001 Bullcobrach.

Good thread Lobra97... it bugs me too! And also good that everyone is getting along here and having a common ground. No bashing for once! It's fine when it's tasteful with a few parts here and there. Like wheels... they're are hundreds of different wheels you can use, but the Cobras are nice and just fit some cars. As you mentioned the Mach seats are way better than the older cobra seats or even the GT seats I have, which is why I want them. It's not to clone, it's for comfort in my daily driven car and it's a Ford seat that will bolt right in. I've got the grill delete and chin spoiler, and I also crave a shaker, but it's purely for the look I've always loved on muscle cars. My GT badges would remain. This car is my first mustang, and I regret not looking into the Mach's cuz they're awesome IMO. I have pride in the fact that there probably isn't another car exactly like mine out there because I've been piecing together different parts that not everyone else has. I've got Mach/Bullit/Roush/GT parts and not afraid to admit it. Most guys on here will not lie about it either. It's just all part of being a car enthusiast and the ability to make something your own.

A buddy of mine back home had a teal 94 V6 for his first Mustang. I remember seeing it before I met him, and he had a Cobra emblem in the grill. I remember thinking "WTF?" to myself quite often. Then, a couple years later, he has a 98 GT 'vert and I mention this teal V6 with a Cobra badge... he says it was his and I laughed.
He claims that someone stole his pony from the grill, so instead of replacing it with another pony, he bought the Cobra because "..it looked cool and it was cheaper. " I don't buy it, but whatever. I still think he's a homo for doing it. lol

if you like the mach seats you should look into the 05+ gt seats. man they are SO comfortable. thats the real reason why i went with a s197. plus you can get a take off seat for like 250 bucks. im not sure if they bolt right in though. someone on MF.com said that the 99-04 seats would bolt right into a 05+ so i dont see why it wouldnt be the other way around also

Yea man. I test drove an '08 Bullitt and the seat was great. A lot nicer than mine. I wonder if they'd look out of place inside a 99/04 body?

yeah it looks real good. i agree with tim pryor, its all fun a dandy until you put cobra on it. i'm sure the bullit, mach, etc guys will agree. and the homo friend with the teal cobra, that shit was funny as fuck. good sports, all of you! glad there's no bashing either. i guess in the end its the pride, ownership, and authenticity that these guys and me take a bit more serious. great inputs!oh and graves, sick ass mustang you got. i need to get a pic of mine like yours. boo-hoo, mine was in my yard!!

I have a picture of a silver Roush 428R at the AutoX event from when I was in Colorado I could send your way when my internets gets hooked up at home. It has a little black stripe on the hood too. Looks tough.
