Montana and Cheifs FTL

I hope the same does not happen to Farve. I kinda think Farve retired knowing he was never gonna retire. Remember his Agent NEVER filed the paperwork for retirement. I think he just didnt want to play in Green bay anymore, and this was a way out and not have to ask to be traded. It too damn cold! All the cities with the best weather build Domes or retractable roofs (ie Dallas, Phenoix, New Orleans, Houston)and the cold places up north build stadiums (Chicago, New York, Green Bay)...doesnt make much sense! lol

I think your oldest son is a genius. He started his career with the Falcons and with all the bad PR they have gotten lately they need someone to bolster the team image, and who better to do that than one of the gretest QB's of all time. I believe he will be a Falcon. I dont see him going to Minn. or Chicago, but only time will tell.

Reminds me of Karl Malone leaving the Jazz for a couple years with the Lakers just for a championship(that he never got). I dont think he can go just anywhere and win a Title, his best chance for that is GB, and poor Rodgers. Kid is gonna play his first NFL game at 50 yrs old.lol

Looks like the Packers aren't going to release him now. Thwey said they weren't going to. If he wants to play it will be with them and they told him he might not be the starter.

With the way he boohoo'd like a school girl when he announced his "retirement" last year, I think he is in it for nothing more than to be able to say "look at me, I've still got it", when in reality, it's gone. He doesnt need the money, and he made his teary exit last year, there is no reason for him to come back, except to feed his own ego. I would be embarrassed to come back after whining and crying on national TV like he did last year.

I would come back to ride the bench to collect that paycheck. Jeff and I talked about this on our forever long trip this weekend, and if he does stay with the team, even if he is back up, after feeling the pressure and the fans chanting someone elses name, I think Favre will get put in to start....if he sticks with it....but I don't know if he is really willing to be back up since he makes buttloads of money just off his name.

he still has it, unlike Montana at the Chiefs. He could make any team a SB contender, or at the very least make a descent playoff run

I don't think he should come back. I think he still has it. He proved it last year. He's still got something left in the tank. Troy Aikman just didn't have it left after his 6th concussion. Favre is alot tougher than Troy. But with that being said I think his career has run its course. I don't think the packers are good enough to go to the bowl with or without him. I understand though the "want" to come back. It was the biggest part of his life for so long it's gotta be hard to say goodbye. But would be just as hard next yr. I would get out before you're body gives up on you.
