    fiberglass boxes, what you think?

My friend has made some custom fit boxes for his stang and it came out really good. We got to thinking of making special fit fiberglass boxes and selling. We're not too sure were to start so I thought I should make a post here. I looked up custom boxes and they're very expensive. Do yall think $220 is a good price for 2 12" custom fit boxes? We're not opening up a shop or anything like that, just side money on our days off.

Those look pretty good! Would there still be access to the spare with that design? That's the thing I don't like about my prefab box, it makes it difficult to access, and luckily I haven't had to. Price sounds decent, but might be a lil' on the high side. Others should chime in.

I think that looks really good, and it leaves a lot of room in the truck too.... as far as the price ..well i guess you just kinda have to gauge your buyers.. see how many you can sell at this price..then lower or raise the price ..to see if your sales continue..I mean..I'm very far from a business or sales expert....... but just my 2 pennies.... I'd buy em...

Just checked online and these are about $130 on Ebay. Pretty much everything else on there is MDF so a bit cheaper and some even come with subs for you're price.

You have to shave the carpet in order to get to the spare. This is something he just threw together secured by velcro. I have a dual 12" box myself and it SUCKS!!! Bass hits good but I have no trunk. This set up is nice and has room. Perhaps an even $200 would be a good starting price.

Yeah, mine is dual 10's but probably close to the same size. Mine looks like this. So to get to my spare, I have to put down the rear seats and push the box back, and then try to wedge the spare out from under the partial weight of the box... Trunk has a small opening to begin with, so to put the subs there makes the opening even smaller. It's just little things like that which could definitely be a selling point.

It's just for one side though right? Plus 2 weeks and then shipping? We'd be selling left AND right sides for $200 and you should have them both in about 1 week.

Yes, those are individual and closest thing to what you're selling. I just posted those for an idea of what others are going for, not to try and beat your price down.

I'm sure he can. He's off Sunday and Monday if you want to talk to him. I'm going to put a post for subwoofer boxes for sale in the Classifieds.
