Fiberglass Enclosures

Is there anyone on the board here (San Antonio) who is good with fiberglass enclosure builds?

I'd be interested in trade - for labor. (If you're interested in Subwoofer drivers - let me know)

I'm running an s-197, and will shortly be in need of a decent install - but my enclosure building skills are limited to prototyping systems in MDF, not aesthetics.

Thanks

How "showy" are you looking for?

I think Dean @ PSI made his own FG boxes.

Check out 210 Customs on 281/Bitters. They're doing some glass for the Cobra now.

Those are exactly what I'm looking for.

Any details? IOW how many net cubic feet of air space? The drivers he loaded - they 12's or 15's?

In the interest of time - and simplicity (I'm doing it in 1 day sometime this week) - it's looking like I've decided to use the spare tire well. There is a TON of space in there. At over 3 cubes before the squared off corners - it's more than enough for a pair of 12's.

Going to sollid mount and seal a mounting ring for a gasketed and removeable top plate - so I can run different drivers easilly. Just stuff em in firing upwards (don't do unless you have to or don't care - I don't care)

Any concern with the intertia switch for the fuel cut off being mounted inside the sub enclosure? BL^2/Re on the drivers aboput 150, running a clean 800 watts per, they will see a net of close to 2 cubes each - IOW I'll be able to over excurt their 26mm linear throw easilly...

you would be surprised how easy fiberglassing is these days.
I say you should try it yourself.
start with a very small model of the enclosure you want and see hoe it turns out.
then build the real one.
