finally hit 11's

even if its just barely:

next up is traction and gearing, maybe going to some 28" out back and skinny's up front. i couldnt spray much in first or it would break loose. also had to shift into 5th b/c i ran out of gear... theres more in it for sure, but its my first 11 second slip. thought i'd share with everyone. see yall around.

-no, that's spraying in the top end of first gear and all the rest. i got the car rolling, quickly bringing it up to WOT, but not like i was immediately flooring it. at about 4K, i hit the button in first. then kept the button down the entire run and let the WOT switch do its job in between shifts.

the one time i tried to slam it off the line, i broke traction hardcore.

Thanks! I dont have any right now, but i know i need to pick some up. I run 5 lug now. I'll keep your offer in mind when i get some. the car weighed 3275 with me in it on friday, i figure with a good launch i might be hitting 11.6 or 11.5 who knows. its hard as hell to keep from breaking loose on 26" drag radials on a 17" rim with a 3.35 first gear and 3.90 rear end. goin to some 28" would both help me off the line and make my 4th a little longer up top, might be able to ride it out without hitting 5th gear. BTW, if you still want me to run those specs on a cam change, just send me a PM. i still have the stuff saved on the computer.

Nice pass! Slicks would definitely help out a lot. There is a bunch left in that first 60'.

thanks guys.

the dyno numbers in my sig were on the 150-flywheel horsepower shot. its a NOS Dry kit. i was pushing the limits of the 24# injectors with that and should have gone to 30's to play it safer. either way, i never had so much as a hiccup on that setup. actually, i took the nitrous kit off recently. its just sitting in my room until i decide to sell it or put it back on.

bottom end consists of a stock block,30 overbore, Eagle H beams, ross flat top aluminum pistons and a cam motion custom cam for GT40P heads. anything i missed?

if i was racing a lot, i'd look into welds. lately though, too much has been going on and i havent been to the track in about 2 months.

from all that i've read, keep the tune safe from detonation and dont rev past 6K and a stock block will handle about 500rwhp if its built right. beyond that, the clock starts ticking.

what kind of combo are you thinking about?
