First time to track

This past friday i took out my new ride, a 2001 mustang gt BULLITT out to San Antonio Speedway... the mods on the car are: flowmaster mufflers, densecharger, and nittos... i ran a best time of 13.91 @99mph... is that what i should be running or should i be doing better??any hints on running my car better??? Id like to go out there again maybe next week if anyone else wants to join because i think i can get a better time get back to me if anyones interested....

You should run a little better with the Nittos. What was your 60' time?

That ET sounds about right for your MPH. Try powershifting and launching the car around 3000 and slipping the clutch? That's what worked best in mine. . . I had people telling me they couldn't tell it was a V6 car except how quiet it was because I ran down a couple of 5.0s. . . by over a second. :jeff:
