Flat bed car trailer
I'm looking for a flat bed car trailer for sale. It needs to be big enough to haul a full size car. Nothing too fancy, just need a wooden bottom trailer with dual axles, a regular bumper hitch, and car ramps of course.
Let me know what you've got. Edit: Oops, this should probably go in the "Misc. Stuff FOR SALE/WANTED" section. My mistake. |

I have exactly what you described. Wooden bed, diamond plate ramps, dual axle. It has brakes on it but I never hooked them up. How much are you looking to spend?

My wife and I were looking at something like this............
![]() ... the other day at Magnum Custom Trailers. They were going for $1,500. So less than that I guess. What make, model, and year is yours? |

I have essentially the same thing but it has a bar across the front (so you can't drive it off the front of the trailer). It is at least 7 or 8 years old, but has only been used about a half a dozen times. I was thinking about $750.
How soon do you need something? I can look up the year and get you a little more information. I am storing it with a friend but I can get you some pictures. I have some good ratchet straps (Jeg's car tie downs) that I could probably include for just a little more... TJ |

That sounds like what we need. I don't necessarily have a time frame that I need a trailer in but we would like to get one soon. Ideally we would like to have something within the next week. I'd like to see some pictures.

$750 is pretty cheap if the trailer is in good shape .

It is no beauty queen, but it is pretty basic and functional. I replaced the wood in it a few years ago, but this summer has not been kind to it...
![]() I have it wired for a four wire plug right now so the lights are working. The brakes are not wired up and have not been used as I never wired my truck for them: ![]() Electric brakes on rear axle: ![]() It's registered through December: ![]() The wood is a little warped and checked so it is showing its age, but it is not rotting. I used treated lumber but it has had every drop of moisture sucked out of it: ![]() I have a set of four Jeg's axle straps and tie downs. (JEGS 80120 - JEGS Ratchet Tie-Downs - JEGS and JEGS 80125 - JEGS Axle Straps - JEGS) I was going to mount D-rings in the trailer wood, but I have been strapping the cars to the outer frame of the trailer. I think that is probably stronger. ![]() Here are the diamond plate ramps. They are rated for a much heavier load than the trailer if I remember right. I just don't like driving low pressure slicks over the open style of ramps made with angle iron: ![]() I am in Austin. I am willing to pull it part way to meet someone who wants to buy it, but I do not want to drive too far... PM me for a phone number if you want to come by and take a look at it. TJ
