To each their own I guess. I like the rasp sound Mustangs can produce with exhaust combos.

kyle (vcs ssstang) is right. bassani sounds horrible on a v6. sounds great on a v8 (a co worker has bassani on her gt) but since we are talking about v6's in this v6 section of the forum bassanis are horrible! they dont sound good on a v6 at all. my recommendation is flowmaster.

See what section this is?! Great, now like I said basanni sounds HORRIBLE. Now if we were in the GT/mach/cobra section my opinion would differ. Obviously some people need to check what section their in before posting.

Not quite

"If you don't have bite then you better not bark"
Why do you try and act like a hardass online???
And like Jody said. Did you get your pannies in a twist?

Flowmaster is to bland, everyone has it. Get something different.

I don't act hard online, I'm not an e-gangster I can back up anything I say,
my problem is with v8 owners recommending stuff to guys who go out and buy it then complain later about how it sounds/preform/etc. Yes people have a mind of their own but most people base their opinions on responses they get in forums as crazy as that may sound.

Anyway you go buy a v6 mustang and find a better sounding muffler, people don't want mufflers on our cars because their gonna give huge hp gains, they want sound.

I don't know why you made that statement bold, guess you assumed I meant something else?

I do have teh skillz, it's also my career and hobby, but not dynoed yet. Still trying to get the time off and an appointment set. But for all motor it is well over 320 to the ground I am sure.

Back to topic, try Spintec on a V-6 or SLP.
The H pipe eliminates rasp whereas the X pipe produces rasp.

Both of those are no goes.... (check you tube)
Its either flowmaster, mac, or some chambered muffler if your looking for sound.

Everybody (general v6 community consensus) Does true dual setups. I would say.

87% true dual
7% y pipe fake dual
1% replace the stock pipes with 2.5" and a muffler
2% weird exhaust due to having turbo
3% other (side/dumps/etc)

I get weirdos in here all the time wanting weird shit. You name it, I have done it.
Matter of fact, 2 weeks ago, I did a dump on a single muffler V-6. He was ecstatic too.

I personally prefer magnaflow on a v6

and think flowmasters sound like throw up.

everything espressed in this thread is opinion, not fact.

Modding a 6 cylinder is kinda like coming out of the closet....you might surprise a few people but in the end .....you're still gay....ha jk.. I'd go with magnaflows since every car I've heard with them 4 cylinder or 8 cylinder sound pretty good.

When comparing macs w/flows, what types of mac's are we talking about?
Are they chambered ones or they straight-through flowing?
They've got to sound different.
