Birds cause power outage on Northwest Side

Nearly 1,000 residents have been without power since 8:52 a.m. on the Northwest Side, CPS Energy spokesperson Rolando Romero and CPS Energy operators said.






Power, however, is expected to be restored around 1 p.m., operators said.

Two birds got caught in power lines on the corner of Blue Mill St. and Wurzbach Rd, causing 924 customers to be without power, Romero said.

This is the second outage today caused by birds flying into powerlines.

The first was in the Garden Ridge area at around 6:30 a.m. Approximately, 2,000 customers were without power. There are still 50-100 customers still without power on the Northwest side but they are expected to be restored by 1 p.m., Romero said.

hah. USAA still has power (but also has those nice high tech uninturrupted power source generators lol) so i couldnt tell you if it bugged us but we ARE right there lol.

Quit the hotel over a year ago now.. they opened the omni downtown, and business went to crap. SO i went from making great tips.. to making 4 bucks an hour (what they paid me), didnt cut it!

I work at USAA as an IT member support specialist (official title)

basically their website support.
