I saw a few people I knew, it was mostly bracket racers.
The current combo is an '85 coupe with 302 bored and stroked to 364, Ported Twisted Wedge heads and a BXR intake, A9M ECM with a Moates chip, Doug Nash 5 spd, 4.56 gears, Hoosier 275/60/15 drag radials.
Daily driver '89 GT 302 stock block, crank, rods and pistons, ported GT-40P heads with stock valves, Ported Explorer intake, B302 cam, Z spec T5, 3.73 gears, Moates chip and no traction. Made 325 whp and 325 wtq.
I saw your '67 last week, it looks like it did seven years ago. Are you ever going to take it past being a display of Steve's work? You need to get that car finnished, just build a nice 331 with a mild turbo or a natrualy asperated 347, some Global West suspension and finnish that thing out. If that car has a 400 hp 347 a TKO trans and some good suspension, that car would be a lot of fun and could look very good. You keep getting ideas for that car that are too over board or gay, I heard about the IRS idea that would be gay. A good pair of new aftermarket leafs, good shocks, a pan hard bar and it will be great, it will handle and ride great trust me. You have a '67 Mustang not a Corvette, stop trying to make that Mustang into something it is not and finnish it and enjoy it.

I had alot of fun. Just wish I would have gone a little faster but the car I was driving was dog of the line without nitrous. Next time out we plan on spraying a 250 shot off the line and run some 7s for sure.

Yea I heard...thats what happens when you work at a performance shop, your personal projects take a back seat. It has been 10yrs btw...
I picked it up last week and I'm geting set up on the rotisserie so I can fix some stuff. I have the AJE kit for the front (clearance for the turbo kit). I already did the leafspring/QA1/panhard bar deal, it was ok...
I loved the IRS in my Cobra in the turns, so we will see. I'm thinking 408 w/ turbo right now but who knows...only time will tell. Now that I'm married and working a "regular" job, I have tons more time to work on my projects. Too bad that includes the honey do's from the "boss".
Opinions are like a$$holes...everyone has one, especially on the internet....
Nice to see im not the only one hounding him to enjoy his cars and get away from the eternal quest for the perfect project.
Welcome to working AND married life.... only one more to go on the list and that one comes with dirty diapers lol!
Get that 67 running like Sonic Blue said, oh and whats this about running a 12.0 class in the Cobra, should be the 11.0 class.
Wish i could have been out there it must have been a good time, i kinda miss bracket racing.
