Anyone want to adopt a husky? House trained, gets along with cats and large dogs, absolute sweetheart, no small dogs though. An absolute must is that he is not an outside dog. I treat my dogs like they are members of the family, and want him to go to a home that feels the same. He will be 2 years old the end of November. I would love a husky, but I've heard they are super difficult to take care of in the hot weather.

The Vette gets em' Wet, it also handles nice too.
Not at all. Just like other dogs. If he is an inside dog, then the only times he will go outside is to do his business, and if you go outside and play with him. When I would let my other dogs out, he would be just fine the whole time they were out there.

How in the hell did you house train a husky? I have one that would tear my shit up if I let him come inside.
On a side note my husky and my shepherd mix decided they wanted to redo a red mulch area I have... or had... in my back yard... I now have a giant pile of fucked up mulch and blanket all over my back yard.

We crate train all of our dogs. If we are not home, he goes in his crate which is like his "safe place." We dont have mulch in our backyard, so I couldn't tell you if he would do the same.Originally Posted by Wiked
We are putting him up because we have over extended ourselves and we just dont get to spend the one on one time that he deserves. With me working offshore, not only is my wife working also, but when she got home, she was having to take care of 7 dogs as well. So to make it easier on her and give the dogs a chance to go to a home where they would get more attention, we have decided to give a few to good homes. We already placed the others with some of our friends, and it is down to him.
