As a whole and in life, I can agree with redrum's statement that we need to figure things out for ourselves.
However, when these learning curves in end deaths of unrelated parties and unneccessary damage, then people need "babying". That's the purpose of goverment in my opinion, to keep us united as well as keep us from hurting ourselves and others, physically, mentally, socially, and economically. If people were set free of normal street laws and left to figure things out for themselves, then the same with criminal laws and all others. Automobiles are responsible for more deaths than an occassional murder or manslaughter. So should we let people kill one another while trying to "figure things out"? |
