    Fuel problems, 91 mustang.

    Ok so i'm driving to work this morning, feel the car start sputtering, died on me while driving. I tried to start it and just cranked, so pushed it to gas station, luckily it died right next to one, put 10 dollars in gas ( 3.5 gallons ) and made it to work. Got off of work, and was going to fill it up, and it only took another 10 dollars ( 3.5 gallons ) Sounds to me like a short pick up tube? So it took 7 gallons, meaning there was still 8 gallons in the tank. So I'm thinking the pick up tube is only getting the top half of the gas tank, any help?

    That would be kinda hard since the P/U is on the bottom of the tank. Meaning itsits all the way down at the bottom of the tank.

    No it's weird, first time i've had that problem, also the gas guage does not work so i judge when to put gas and ehh... Fuel pump went out on my 95 5.0 and doesn't seem to be the same thing.

    Could be a number of things....really not enough info to diagnose the issue. Has the car acted up since the original post? Does the car still have factory fuel injection and fuel system?
