Fuel pump question

I'm installing a vortech HO kit and keep hereing horror stories about the pump that comes with the kit (the fact that is not a variable speed). My question is with an as delivered kit with vortechs tune should I just use what they send or go for an alternative. I do not have a desire to pay another 800 for the gt500 setup so I was thinking about these options:

1. Just follow vortech instructions and use the pump they sent
2. Install a single gt pump
3. Use vortechs dual pump setup but ad a gt pump instead of the one they provide
4. Use vortechs dual pump setup but replace both pumps with gt pumps

I'm not looking to spend anymore money that I absolutely have to at this point the kit and gauges has shot my budget.

Please chime in with imput on any of these options.

Thanks for the advise Dean! I'll be bringing a GT pump over to you next weekend or so, just gotta decide if I want to just go with single or dual. Never hurts to plan for turning up the wick
