LSS will be making an appearance at Fun Ford Weekend Houston again this year! The weekend long event will take place at Houston Raceway Park on April 28th, 29th, and 30th.

Our San Antonio Chapter will be caravaning there, depending on interest in a rented van, or a small group of vehicles. Details about when we will be departing and returning will depend on the interest in this event.

Hotel information will be provided tomorrow after I have some time to call a few places and see how many people are interested in going. Of course, sharing a room is the best way to keep the cost down, as well as taking as few vehicles as possible, and kids under 12 are FREE, so bring them out if you want to.

Please post up if you plan on going, whatever city you are from, and if you are interested in joining the caravan from San Antonio please let us know!!

we probably won't be able to stay in the closest hotel to the track... but we should be able to find something relatively close.

I really want to go. I won't be bringing the stang, but just to go and watch some good Mustang fun.

When I mapquested this hotel, it was about 10 to 15 miles from the track. If you have ever been to the track, it is in BFE!! So this is probably about as close as we are going to be able to get.

The price for a double (two beds) is $60.00 per night. You can put at least 4 people in one room, possibly more depending on what your preference is.

I would like to book a room by Friday afternoon. So if you would like to go to this and share a room with people, please post up and we will sort out the number of rooms and who is sleeping with who by Friday so that I can call and make the reservation.

Reasonably, I think with taxes and all it will be about $30 a person for the whole weekend for the hotel.

Money can also be saved by taking some coolers and bringing our own stuff into the races....as we all know the food there is expensive.

So post up if you want to go, and we will make sure to get a room for everyone who wants one!!

That's where I stayed in 2000 when I went. It was convenient enough to the track.
