I was looking at those Kenwoods because the deck, amp and sub I am going to get are Kenwood, so wanted everything to match.

hey juan figured out it is the amps. hes having trouble finding the fuses for em. if someone knows post up that way i can call him up.

Last night was horrible... But on the bright side, I will be selling the 4 stock speakers. I have to figure out if I can fix what is wrong with the amps, or if I should just go buy a new amp to power the new speakers. I only put in the front 2 speakers, doing the other two soon. Maybe tonight... not sure.

The MACh system is a pain in the a** to deal with. That's why I pulled out everything and redid it from scratch. That way I knew everything would work together. What's wrong with your amps?

exactly.... what i would do, when you buy the harness to install the head unit, only hook up the red, yellow and black.. then for the 4 speakers, run new wire.... that's the easiest way to bypass the mach system... the factory radio is what's refered to as a "DEAD HEAD" radio... no internal amp.. so when you go to an aftermarket radio, you'll have to buy additional adapters to use it with the factory wiring... unless you do what i just said.

I have both sets of adapters needed for the mach 460 system. I just dont know what the hell is wrong with the amps. Once I get my deck though, Im probably gonna have best buy install the deck, then ask their opinions on what to do.

Mine didn't even have the mach system when I got it, but the wiring was all screwed up anyways, so just replacing the speakers was out of the question. I spent my 3 day new years weekend 06'-07' redoing the whole system (speakers, subs, amps, H/U, X-overs, wiring). All can be seen in my sig. Previous owner had wired in some mach tweeters, but I replaced those with the tweeters that came in my Infinity component set but they remain behing the mach grille so it looks factory. I think someone mentioned earlier in the thread that all tweeters were the same and not to waste your time... they're not the same, so if you're going to take the time to rip the door apart, you might as well replace them IMO. U just bought everything little by little for a couple months and then installed it all in that one weekend. It's easier if you just do it all at once when the interior is all ripped out, but again just my opinion.
