It's just a 10W2. I had a couple in my Bronco and now there is no reason for that much base in a camaro or mustang (IMO) so Kat got one and I kept the other. Amp was a christmas gift and she just picked up the head unit yesterday. We'll be installing this stuff soon

looks like a good clean setup. Pioneer has alot of control and ease of use. 1 12" is plenty for your daily. I've got a Bronco 2 w/4 15s and I'm sure people hate me when I crank it up. oh well. good luck with the install.

Just depends on what you want... 10" = punchy, 12" = smooth

For me 10" = rock and country

12" = r&b and rap...

Me? 10" all the way...

1 10" will knock your rearview mirror off if it's setup right...

The way the bass sounds is mostly install dependant. You can make 10's go low and have 12's and 15's be super punchy.

ported vs. vented; small enclosure vs. large; direction that you face the woofers; specs of speakers; equilizer; quality of amps; etc

How do you like that head unit? I bought one for my truck, and it doesnt suck. I especially like the iPod control and the Sirius. It was a toss up over the 7800 and a kenwood with similar specs. I bought the pioneer because of the eq.

I really like it so far, but I haven't had the chance to mess with it much. The quality of sound was greatly improved over the factory deck, but I think I still need to rewire the speakers and bypass the factory amp for maximum improvement. It's much more user friendly than the 7500 I have in my Civic, and the full color display simply rocks.

i had a friend who was running 4 jl w6's in his escort.. he had nthing but high quality equipment and TONS of dynamat (this car was like the advertisement for the car toys he worked at... whats why so much bass) it sounded really good and LOUD... naturally, his system got stolen... so he replaced it w/ boston components and ONE 10 INCH BOSTON SUB in a ported box rather than the sealed boxes he was running before.. and w/ the meter from his work, the new boston set up is almost 7 db louder than the 4 12's.. it's just proof that like several ppl already said, quality owns quantity (dont get me wrong i love jl.. die hard jl fan here..) and airspace has SO much to do w/ the over all sound.. his jl's were highly starved for air..
