actually if you know what your doing i would try out the gears yourself.
i was one of the people that was scared of gears for the longest time and wouldnt touch them. but i did the front and rear on my truck with detroit lockers and as long as you have the right tools its pretty easy. just be sure to shim it right. but if you dont have the right tools dont even touch it! cause more harm than good. thats a nice group of mods! should be one bad 05 after those!!!!!! |

yea.. shimming the gears correctly is the main thing.. oh.. and idk if the mustang gears are like this, but i did gears on a trans am once and we couldn't figure out why the ring woudnt come off of the posi... then we realized theyre' left handed threads.. lol

I had to put my ring gear in the oven so it would expand, cuz it didnt want to slide over the diff case, then i still had to tap it on with a block of wood and a hammer.
get the pinion shim right cuz it can cost some bread to get the bearings off and on, unless you have a press. usually the stock pinion shim works when using fms gears, shimming the diff is usually not necessary, but you have to measure everytime.
