Grill delete?

Could someone please explain what the grill delefe does exactly? Couldnt you just get rid of the stock grill and leave it at the? Im sure theres more to it but i just cant see myself paying for something i dont understand. Enlighten me.

if you get rid of the stock grill you have no pony, i like my mach juan grill alot.

you still have a pony, you just dont have the chrome piece around it nore the honeycomb piece. its all open but the mach insert is the proper way to do it if you want to get rid of the honeycomb part of the grill. all it is though is a plastic surround.
