Yup. You just need to cut the Y pipe so you can run the dual set up.

how do you NOT have to modify the exhaust to make it work?

the V6 has a Y-pipe, GT has an H-pipe. You would at least have to have the Y-pipe cut and custom made into an H-pipe. Unless the GT's H-pipe bolts right up to the V6's stock headers... but I have never heard of that working before.

on the 05+ you take off the y pipe and put on an h or x pipe. all bolt on

It's a bit more complicated than that. The Y pipe had to be removed, the pipes from the cat's to the Y have to be modified/spliced so that stock takeoff GT mid/tail pipes can be used.

From the tailpipes-back, you can easily put in a GT exhaust...with rear bumper replacement or cutout.

here's a couple pics (my old setup)

If you change the mid pipe and tail pipes back it just a switch. Chris did it to his in about 1 1/2 hours.

Nice pics so what does you car dyno at?? and have you ran at the track?

Why wouldn't you just get a V8 and already have V8 exhaust??? And V8 POWER!!! not to mention it will sound A LOT BETTER.

Because everyone cant wants, or can afford, or wants to pay that much for a car. Not everyone needs 275/300hp. If it was that easy they wouldnt make a v6 option and there would be no mustang or atleast have a gap in production ie all the FBODY and other "muscle/pony" cars
