    GT or LX insurance?

I need some info on insurance. I have a 4 banger 93 LX and a 92 GT. Both now have V8's and I know insurance is higher on a GT but how much? Any ideas?

I know my insurance only asks if it's gt or lx and my lx insurance was about $10/month less than my non turbo eclipse of the same year.

well I work at USAA which is eligibility based. Unless you're ex military or have parents that were can't help you, otherwise I would be confident I could give you better coverage for less.

I just switched all my cars from USAA to Geico, it was about $50 a month cheaper for the exact same coverage. I work for Progressive and our rates weren't cutting it either. I really like USAA but once I saw my rates were going up a month after I turned 25, I had to look around.

Well, no two companies are going to rate it the same. Here are three different ways
of covering it from most expensive to least expensive: Firstly having it on a policy by
itself. Second adding it on to a policy with your other cars, ( you should get a nice
multi-car discount). Lastly, if I can get you in with Hagerty, i.e. second car, garaged,
driven under 2,500 miles a year it should be a fraction the price for insurance that way,

I'll be talking to you in 6 months when they send you your renewal. GEICO is known to give low rates to get you in the door and then increase them the next 6 months. I talk to people everyday from Geico that left usaa to go to geico only to want to come back because they are paying more now after the renewal. Also you won't be seeing any auto dividend checks at the end of the yr from geico like USAA they keep all of their profits and give it to shareholders. We give alot of unused premium back to members.

Ive had Geico for 10 years and my rates have always gone down. Ive never had an increase with them. In fact i just got an added discount on my plan. 10 yr safe driver. No tickets or accidents.

Yeah I got the dividends every year, but they are nowhere near $700 It's only like 50-70 for the year. It's simple math. Im saving $350 every 6 months. If it goes up, which it didn't last time I switched then I start looking for another insurance company. It's a product like any other, and we are allowed to switch to whomever has the best product at the most competitive price. I'm loyal, but $350 is a lot for a 6 month policy.

good for you. Pay less now and get less later. If you have a claim and you have injuries good luck getting geico paying your uninsured motorists out to you if need be. They always find a way out of it. JUst saying if you're happy though I'm happy.

Sounds to me like regular car insurance. With that there is no guaranteed value. That means that if you have a loss it will probably be paid off of the book value of the car. You need guaranteed/agreed value so you will not be out a whole bunch of money if there is a claim! This is based on what you decide to insure the car for, not blue book! The great new is it costs
far less than regular car insurance since it is designed for cars driven under 2,500 miles a year.
So it costs far far less even though it is much better coverage! Just click on Austin Star Insurance | Free Quotes | Auto Insurance| Home Insurance | Business Insurance then go to classic car and you can work up a quote in about a minute. It works so well that Nationwide and Allstate have turned over their classic cars to theses guys, [email protected]
