Guys with chips

i was browsing on AM, looking at tuners and what not. i was really checkin out the sct chip and liking the simplicity of it.

For a bolt on only car(pullleys, full exhaust, intake) how accurate are the chip tunes from them. anyone had a problem with american muscles tunes?
ALSO: lets say i want to go get a dyno tune one day, can the tuner modify the chip? like can i get a custom tune saved to the chip or does am put somekind of lock on it?

this isnt n e thing ima get soon, just curious as its a good avenue for someone like me.

I have the chip, but I would say to go with the hand held unit. the X-cal2. with the chip, anytime you need to modify it for gears, tires, timing, etc. you need to take it to a shop that has the software to write the SCT chips. if you get the hand held unit, you can modifiy these things yourself. The tunes that you will get from the dealer of your choice (non dyno-tunes), will basically be BS tunes. If you get a tuning unit, take into consideration the cost of a good dyno tune as well. that is the only way to make to the MOST of your purchase. So in short, f*ck the chip and get the hand held. It's the first step in making the most out of any power mods for you car.

wel my logic with the chp is, after i get my bolt ons on the car..im done with it. im just trying to go the cheaper route. i posted this on another site as well, to see if i could find someone with the chip. everyone said pretty much the same thing about it, as far as a bolt on only car you cant really mess it up(as far as a canned tune)

I can do a custom tune on your car, remove ALL limiters, adjust for bolt ons and what not for you. AND it would be better than a hand tuner and done correctly if you are interested.
