you will need the quads on to prevent wheel hop until you have after market uppers.

So you're saying since I have aftermarket control arms, that I don't need the quads? I'm just referring to him though, if he doesn't have aftermarkets.... why would you remove them?

he removed them to clear the 315s he has

it is stated that a good aftermarket upper will relieve the need for quad shocks. what uppers do you have?

Oh yeah, tire clearance makes sense I guess. I have UPR Prostreet upper and lowers that I got from PSI when I had them install my bushings, c/c plates, and shocks. They're solid tubular, non adjustable.

I ran my stock uppers, Maximum Motorsports LCAs, and no quads...no wheel hop, but I never have had a set of super sticky tires either just the Yokohama's. IT would spin though. The panhard bar, torque arm, coil overs, and removing the uppers has completely changed the car and its still on the same size and brand of tire.

I understand the comment about the money tree. I was simply saying that the sumitomos are not that great of a tire. In most applications a good suspension will net you better times at the track whether it be drag, road race, or just knocking down some cones versus adding another 100 hp to the car. Everyone has different approaches to building cars and we all eventually end up where we want to be. It may be the path less traveled and end up costing more money but its will get a person there.
