Question H-Pipe or X-Pipe? What do you have?

The next hing im going to put my money into is going to be an H-Pipe or an X-Pipe and i cant decide which one. Ive been told that an X is alot better b/c of the flow, but its also about 70-80$ more than the Hpipe im looking at. Can anyone tell me whether or not it would be worth it to save up for the $169.99 X-pipe or just go with the $109.00 off road H-Pipe? im very tight on money and every dime i make goes into the car and gas and food so let that help ur decision. Thanx yall. -Will- keep in mind this pipe is for shorty headers and by the way how hard is it to install new shortys? thanx again
this is where im looking at buying it:http://secure.50resto.com/product1.c...ategory_ID=730

Shorties are pretty easy to put on a fox body. I would go with an X pipe personally.

I installed BBK shorties on my 88 in about 45 minutes including a few beers. I have the MAC O/R H-pipe also. I have had personal expierences with both the H and X and the only difference i noticed was sound, really could not tell any difference in power.

The X-Pipe has a more nascar sound to it, and the H-Pipe has a more throaty ballsy sound to it. I liked the H sound personally. Here is a link with different header, midpipe, and muffler sound bytes.

I will sell you my Mac Pro Chamber H-Pipe, has around 500 miles on the pipe itself, basically brand new.

prochamber and H pipe dont fit in the same sentence, i believe. the prochamber is neither an H or an X, but a combination of both. which, in my opinion is the way to go.
