I felt a diffrence with my X pipe on my 93 and I have 2.5 exhaust and 2 chamber flows --- but the sound will come from the mufflers I like 1 chamber flows good loud sound -

supposedly, an h will give a little more torque(has better back pressure), while the x will give a little more hp up top.....to me the h sounds better on 5.0s while the x sounds better for 4.6 modular engines. Either way, you will most likely not tell a difference in power unless you put it on a dyno and even then you will only gain 2 or 3 more hp if you're lucky. I would go with what you like the sound of better since you notice that constantly.

the only one that has actually shown a controlled variable gain is teh x pipe in the high RPMs
so if you have a 4 valve or a high reving 2 valve or a vortech car.... try the x if you like the sound. of course there is always the debated king of midpipes... the prochamber i love it.
