well those things can break easily sometimes...the thing that made sense to me for a sec is when you switched comp's if the other one wasnt a USB 2.0 (ieUSB1.1) it may not have worked, but when you said that it wouldnt work on the original one then i had to scream. One thing about some of that software is that maybe if the platforms are different and a wrong driver was installed or it was not compatible in some other way the comp would get weird and you would have to remove the driver to get back to normal. Another thing that throws me off though is that it sounds like the device is actually the thing that is corrupt, and its not like theres a lot on there. Maybe try taking the music off if you can find a way and trying it again. maybe its has something to do with that.

Best option is to try to find out who carries that brand and give them a call see if they have any advice on it, if it was a major problem theyve probably heard about it before.

Also the link doesnt work...

I've had this problem with mutiple USB storage devices.

Basically its hit or miss sometimes. What you want to do is try and use the same USB port all the time, for some reason this cuts down on these errors.

To fix the current problem you may need to plug it in, go to the device manager and uninstall the device, then reboot and see if it comes back.
