there are a couple places above where your brake or clutch is that have some grommits that you can pop out or just drill through

You don't even need to pull the carpet back, there is a grommet up top near the master cylinder, ran my power wire through there. Inside it is up near the brake pedal. Make sure you don't run your power and signal (RCA's) close together or you will sometimes get alternator whine or a constant hiss while the engine is runing. Run a minimum 4 gauge power cable to your amp and fuse within 12 inches of the battery. Use a good circuit breaker or AGC or AGU fuse (the ones in the round clear cylinder) or a MAXI fuse. Don't skimp here because this will save your car from burning to the ground should your main power ever get pinched or shorted. I am using a circuit breaker, since it's easier to push the reset button than to have to go buy another fuse if you don't have a spare on hand.

Ground your amp as close to the amp as possible and to a good solid ground. Do not use an existing factory ground as many of the vehicles electronics share these grounds and cause static and noise.

I agree with everything u just said, but im confused as to why hed have to ground 12 inches from the bat? you mean install the fuse? The only ground needed is the one close to the amp, and YES DO MAKE SURE U GET A GOOD GROUND! you will hate ur system if u get whinning due to improper ground? I grounded to a seatbelt bolt on the floor pan under the backseat, no whining

hahaha its cool man, just didnt wana confused this guy. Its a simple install really. Right Now im bothered cause I wasnt planning on rewiring the stereo, but seems like its the only choice to get some quality components and amps in there. I could of easily ran the speaker wires to the back while i was wiring for the amp . now I have to take it all apart again, oh well.

yeah man its the only place to get a good ground, take off the seat pads and loosen the one of the bolts anchoring the seatbelts to the floor. Sand it down if necessary. Mine was pretty clean so I just made sure there wasnt any gunk on the floor and screwed it in.

Basically the main fuse on your power wire should be within 12 inches of your battery to work effectively. On my car the circuit breaker is circled in red in the attached picture. Hard to see but it is attached to the side of the shock tower.
